Pacific Coast and Olympic Peninsula
The Washington coast varies from the sandy beaches and dunes of the Long Beach peninsula in the south to the rocky cliffs of the North Coast and the rain forests and mountains of Olympic National Park. Gray's Harbor and Willapa Bay have spectacular shorebird migrations. The marinas at Ilwaco, Ocean Shores and Westport offer protected waters and jetties that attract a variety of waterbirds.
